We have not reported on these for some time now, so here are the latest figures we can find.
For the year to the end of November 2019 there were 86,379 visitors from Korea, which was a decline of 3.1%; of that total, 61,411 were holiday visitors, a decline of 5.2%. The holiday visitors represented 71.1% of the total.
However for the month of November 2019 total Korean arrivals were 9,386, an increase of 6.2%.. The holiday arrivals in November 2019 were 7,083 in number, an increase of 5.8%, with holiday numbers representing 75.4% of the total. Perhaps the commencement that month of Air New Zealand direct flights to Seoul was one contributing factor?
