On the 26th of March, the Korean Embassy ran a pop-up Consular office in Hawke’s Bay. The pop-up Consulate office provided a passport renewal and document authentification service to the local Korean community. The embassy staff also met local Koreans to discuss establishing a formal Korean community and language school in the region.
This event follows last month’s visit to Hawke’s Bay by Ambassador Lee. While in the region, the Ambassador visited businesses exporting to Korea and Korean businesses that have invested in the area.
The KNZBC worked closely with the embassy to arrange these activities, including arranging meetings, logistics, and providing office space.
