Korean Culture Day in Wellington, 6 July

On Saturday 6 July, the 5th K-Culture Festival was held at the Michael Fowler Centre in Wellington. The event was co-hosted by the Korean Embassy, Wellington City Council and the Wellington Korean Association.

Wellingtonians and visitors filled the venue to enjoy the beauty of Hanbok(Korean traditional clothing) through Hanbok Fashion Show prepared by Naraesol from Seoul and high-quality performances of B-boy dance by the MB Crew, who visited with the support of the Seoul Metropolitan Government. Also, for kids and families that visited the K-Culture festival to experience and enjoy, many cultural booths such as Korean traditional games, art making (hanji and gyubang gonye), calligraphy, Korean percussion Samulnori was prepared by the Wellington Korean Association.
